Trimble SiteVision

Trimble SiteVision is an augmented reality (AR) app designed for professionals in construction, engineering, and surveying. It integrates with Trimble’s positioning technology to bring 3D models, site data, and design plans into the real world, enhancing visualization, accuracy, and collaboration during field work. This app allows users to see complex models overlaid onto physical environments, helping to ensure that designs are implemented correctly on-site.

Install: Download Trimble SiteVision from your device’s app store (iOS or Android). Connect to Trimble Hardware: The app requires a Trimble GPS receiver or other compatible positioning hardware for accurate site visualization. Set up the hardware as per the instructions provided by Trimble. Sign In or Set Up an Account: Open the app and log in with your Trimble account credentials. If you don’t have an account, create one to get started with the features. Load Your 3D Model or Site Plan: Upload your 3D models, site data, or CAD plans to the app. You can sync models from Trimble Connect or import files directly from other design software. Set Your Position: Ensure that your Trimble device is calibrated and placed in the correct position on-site. The app uses the GPS and AR technology to align digital models with the physical environment. View and Interact with 3D Models in AR: Use your mobile device to view 3D models overlaid onto real-world environments. Move around the site to inspect different angles of the model, helping to visualize how designs will look when implemented. Measure and Compare: Use measurement tools in the app to calculate distances, areas, and angles between virtual and real objects on-site. You can also compare as-built conditions with the design model for better accuracy. Collaborate and Share: Share your on-site findings with colleagues or stakeholders by taking screenshots or using the cloud-based collaboration features in Trimble Connect. This allows others to view the same model in real time.
